Two of our COCKLES Girls, Bonnie Purchall and Megan Polverino, showcased their skills in the colleges ACE Final at Allianz Stadium. A recent Exeter College 41-33 win over Hartpury, brought the Continental Tyres Trophy to Devon for the first time.

Bonnie and Megan are part of the Exeter College U18 Girls Rugby Academy, which is run in conjunction with Exeter Chiefs.

The academy sees a strong representation from EXMOUTH RUGBY, with players Bea Hooper, Maddy Cliff, Rose Hooper, Sophie Piper, and Lizzie Hiron also in the mix.

EXMOUTH RUGBY continues to nurture talent, seeing its players excel and be selected to represent Devon County and join the prestigious academy.

Exeter College, having remained unbeaten throughout the season, faced Hartpury in this year’s final. The final, held at the end of each league season, is a culmination of the top two teams battling it out for the title.

A large group of COCKLES & Exeter Academy players, alongside enthusiastic Exeter fans, made the journey to Twickenham to support their teammates.

The achievement has been widely celebrated, with congratulations pouring in for Bonnie, Megan, and the entire Exeter College Academy Squad for their remarkable performance. The victory is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players and their coaches both in Exmouth and at Exeter College.
