COCKLES COLTS recently spend a couple of days, with CTC Royal Marine Training Instructors, finding out what its takes to start a basic training course.

The lads, both last year U16s, with last year colts, kitted up, worked together and on their own, to complete a range of field activities. This included the notorious assault course adjacent to the estuary. You see it on your way past on the train or cycle path.

A tremendous team building opportunity, huge thanks to Tom and his team for getting it organised. Well Done to all the lads who took part. This included a couple of the current coach team. A great opportunity for the boys, to view a different lifestyle.

With the COLTS first stage fixtures now posted, they will play some familiar teams and new challenges with Okehampton, Bideford, Cullompton, Paignton, Plymstock Oaks, South Molton & Torquay Athletic. This stage will determine the ranking for after Christmas.

COCKLES COLST are the current Devon RFU Bowl holders and Two Counties Vase holders from last season.
