Lots were drawn and this led to a family affair with regard to the tea captains with Ian Harris skippering the Old Timers and son Matt leading the opposition.
The match referee was Dan Gorfin who made sure the contest was lively, and contested in the best possible taste!
Stu Lowe and Mark Rowsell took on the onerous task of managing the ageing squad, whilst the youngsters were left to their own devices!
The opening score was a sneaky try from youngster Ash Reid. However, from the restart there was a superb try from the Old Timers with Garry Hooper doing the leg work prior to Al Griffin crashing over and a successful conversion saw the older side into an early lead; one that they would not relinquish all the way through to the final whistle.
