Game 1: Totnes 15 - 30 Exmouth

Game 2: Totnes 15 - 30 Exmouth

Callum Cross captained the first of two games played on an extremely small pitch. Ollie Toomey ran in the first score against a very shaky Tots side. Exmouth began piling on the pressure and forced a number of turnovers. Sam Jay Verth and Zach Higginson, both defending their lines well, allowing little through. Tom Cooke was next on the scoresheet, closely followed by Toby Gilbody, both finishing of fine passages of play.

Totnes replied with a couple of tries, before Ieuan Kidd forced another turnover and Will Tidbull scored from the freepass. Tots scored their final try as Tidbull answered with a slick run up the wing to cross for his second. Next came the try of the game. Tots forced back onto their try line by superb pressure resulting in a turnover. A superb miss-pass from Cooke on one wing to Toomey on the other, who proceeded to run through all seven Tots to close the game 30 points to 15.

The second game, captained by Daisy Hollomby carried on where the first left off. Joseph Oates, showing great strength and pace was first on the scoresheet crossing in the corner. Harry Cockayne, playing his first game, soon found the try line, before Oates, finishing a great team effort picked up his second. Tots replied with a couple of scores and that shook up the rather complacent Cockles.

Tagging from Josh Wibberley, Conall Deehan-Jackson and Max McConaghy, playing his best game to date, forced many turnovers. Laurence Knight capitalising on one such turnover crossed for a score, before Cockayne bagged his second. Tots scored again and the Cockles finished the game with a super try from Hugo Flynn 30 points to Tots’ 15.
