The young Exmouth Cockles took on a committed Kingsbridge side for their latest home fixture.

The first match saw Kingsbridge take the lead early on. Exmouth fought back hard, but were prevented from scoring by the strong Kingsbridge defence. Eventually the Cockles opened their account with Toby McCowaghy, Ollie Jones and Owen Tidball scoring first half tries for the Cockles.

In the second half Kingsbridge again notched up several quick tries in succession and defended well with well-disciplined tagging skills.

Luke Davis set up Toby McCowaghy to score a great second half try for the Cockles after a full run of half the pitch.

Owen Tidball and Ollie Jones again added to the score sheet for Exmouth.

The match finally finished 9 tries to 6 in Kingsbridge’s favour.

The second match again saw Kingsbridge take an early lead. Exmouth stepped up their game and Eddie Ford true to form gritted his teeth, ran straight through the Kingsbridge defence and scored a determined try for the Cockles. Arron Lee and Owen Tidball picked up additional tries for the home side.

The second half saw the Cockles fight back hard. Arron Lee scored a fantastic try following several passes and a final set up by Luke Davis. Davis followed this up himself by adding to the score sheet, running in his try from the half way line.

Arron Lee completed his hat trick for the home side who tried hard to catch Kingsbridge. The final score was again 9 tries to 6 in favour of the visitors.
