Game 1: Exmouth 15 - 25 Kingsbridge

Game 2: Exmouth 25 - 40 Kingsbridge

Game 3: Exmouth 20 - 10 Kingsbridge

A wet and windy day not only meant good handling was needed but it also ensured the destruction of the scoresheet. What was evident though was the discipline and effort put in by all the squad. A total of twenty seven tries were scored throughout the three games played, but by who exactly remains a mystery. A whole hour of rugby gave everyone plenty of playing time, and over the three games the young Cockles came out victorious in the final one, 20 -10, losing the first two 15 – 25 and 25 -40

Kings main weapon in their arsenal was the ability to run onto nearly all their ball, while Exmouth for the most part received static ball, something to look at on the training ground. Handling was up, with very few errors made, and there were some excellent try stopping tags made all over the park. This was perhaps the best team effort to date, despite the score lines. This team are really starting to play as a unit, understanding what is required when in attack and defence. Structure was excellent from the start and kept that way. The importance of running into space and making space is starting to hit home, as with the offloading before the tag is made. Communication throughout was also better, and the junior squad members are starting to close the gap on the more experienced Cockles. All in all, a great team performance.
