Game 1: Exeter Chiefs 20 - 50 Exmouth
Game 2: Exeter Chiefs 40 - 45 Exmouth
Game 3: Exeter Chiefs 10 - 35 Exmouth
The away fixture to Sandy Park proved very fruitful as the young Cockles won all three games played, and in a very convincing style. A total of 40 tries scored by both teams saw the visitors victorious 20 - 50, 40 – 45 and 10 – 35.
With over twenty traveling players, all eager to play, hard work put in on the training park was evident to see. Structure throughout was superb, at times the ball traveling through the whole side before dotting down. Tagging was efficient, as was special awareness. The complacency which had crept into this side is now gone, and they are hungry not just for wins, but for well executed team play. The importance of support play is no longer down to a few individuals, each and every young Cockle hanging of the shoulder of their teammates. Score lines aside, a truly magnificent display of mini rugby and a great spectacle for the traveling support.
Try scorers were Ethan Langson-Justice(2), Marcus Weeks, William Tidbull(2), Ollie Toomey(4), Sam Fulthorpe(3), Morgan Wright, Callum Cross, Laurence Knight, Harry Cockanye, Hugo Flynn, Toby Gilbody(3), Zac Higginson(4), Connal Deehen-Jackson and Ieuan Kidd.
