Exmouth 40 - 12 Exeter Chiefs

Following on from last weeks Cup win Exmouth met a confident Chiefs team who took the game to Exmouth from the kick off. This Chiefs determination saw them scoring two tries through strong running by their backs from quality possession.
 
Exmouth had to dig deep and defend well on limited possession, the Exmouth team did however not let their heads drop and this self belief and determination saw Joe Biddulph drive over the try line from the 5m line providing Exmouths first points of the game which was subsequently converted by Bradley Nielson. Exmouth entered the 2nd half 12 - 7 down.
 
The strategy for the day was for Exmouth to play all of its 28 squad players, which was generally achieved and a number of half time substitutions were made.
 
The second half saw Exmouth increase their possession through commitment in the tackle, ruck and contact area which saw four tries scored by Exmouth through Joe Biddulph, Simon Hartery(two) and Mark Wooley, with conversions by Danny Samson and Tyler Wright.
 
Well done to all members of the squad for a solid all round performance.
