Exmouth 32 - 20 Exeter Saracens

Back in to action after several weeks off Exmouth U13’s secured a great win at home against Exeter Saracens.  Playing with the wind behind them Exmouth quickly got in front.  Stand out players up front Jevon Burns, Matt Harris, Jake Gilbody, Bradley Cooke and captain Tim Wright continually gave Saracens the run around throughout the game.  Harry Douglas had plenty of opportunity to distribute the ball well, Harry Parkin at stand-off kicked intelligently with the following wind, putting Saracens on the back heel.  Exmouth secured a 22-0 lead at half time, the second half provided a sterner test.

Saracens got their first points on the board and suddenly looked lively.  The game moved end to end with both sides scoring well worked tries.  Saracens did make wholesales changes to their team and fresh legs proved a brief advantage.  Great defensive play coupled with some direct running from Dan Bradford-Jones, Darryl Scholes and Marcus May ensured Exmouth secured the well deserved 32-20 victory.  A strong team performance, with the whole squad getting in on the action, will give the players a big lift for the second half of the season.
